How to Effectively Market Your Brand with TikTok Shop

It’s unsurprising that the huge social media platform, TikTok, has now also launched an e-commerce platform within the app called TikTok Shop. Tried using this feature yet? Read on to find out how you can market your brand through TikTok Shop.

It’s important to note that you would need at least 1,000 followers to go Live or establish TikTok Shop. Once your brand’s shop has already been set up and is ready to be viewed on your brand’s profile, it’s important to be able to create content that goes back to your brand.

You need to create content that can show what your product is all about. Highlight its features and use trending sounds and gimmicks to help put your brand’s TikTok out there to lead your audience to your TikTok Shop.

In this TikTok for Issey Miyake Parfums, the perfumes were shown to be a product that goes easily with influencer couple, David Guison and Angelique Manto’s lifestyle. It also had a trending TikTok sound and a landing page for the perfume once the ad was clicked. 

PRO TIP: Look into having real people like UGCs be a part of your content besides just having influencers. See how your audience responds to your content on TikTok and figure out what’s the best content that gets them to your shop or how frequently you should be releasing TikToks.

Taking advantage of the platform

One way to bring your shop forward and make the most out of the platform is by making a TikTok Live, which is becoming a more popular selling platform this year.

It is recommended to go live at least 2-3x a week for at least 1 hour, and promote that you will be going live on your page. You can entice your audience by sharing exclusive offers and vouchers only available through TikTok Lives to encourage them to watch, join and make a purchase. Since there’s a live shopping feature available as well, your audience can watch your Live and make purchases during the Live too.

By creating a TikTok Live, you’re also able to put your products out there and give your consumers an opportunity to react and engage with your account in real-time. 

PRO TIP: If your brand can make use of affiliate marketing for your products, it would also be appropriate to use this for your shop. The platform has enough affiliates that can be used to widen your audience through affiliate links.

Getting the word out about your brand through TikTok Shop can definitely lead your brand to have more sales - if set up and done properly. Despite being a relatively new platform, TikTok Shop is definitely on the rise and can be utilized by brands to gain more visibility and drive sales.
